Our chicken flock currently consists of a variety of hens laying an array of eggs of light cream to chocolate brown and even the occasional blue.
The flock freely forages daily on native plants along with a specially planted blend of forage greens and grains. They are supplemented with feed and scratch grain as needed.
We currently have one American Guinea Hog, we recently processed another. We may add a boar and breed next year, but we may not. We haven't fully decided where we want to go on this journey yet.
Additionally, we have rabbits we raise for fertilizer (their poo) and we have two guineas that think they are chickens, but do a great job of patrolling the and feasting on pests.
Then there are the "farm" dogs Otis and Dipper. They do a good job of protecting the chickens and keeping them rounded up, but they do a better job at being big lazy goofs.
Our newest addition, Bear, is a 3-month-old Anatolian/Pyrenees (not pictured) who is currently learning how to behave around the flock.
These birds are available for pick-up at the farm or the next local swap.
